Thanks to the wisdom, guidance, and efforts of wise leaders, the UAE has made enormous progress and reached a critical point in terms of economic and social development. The 3rd UAE eGovernment Projects and eServices Summit focuses on the current status of UAE e-government and e-services projects. The summit, which aims to set the pace for future e-government development in the country, will bring together e-government decision makers, CIO’s, senior  technology professionals, and IT managers from UAE government organizations.

It has been a year since the UAE government announced the UAE Federal Government Strategy in which e-government occupies a central role. The discussions at this summit intend to boost the new e-government action plan that will guide UAE government organizations and professionals until the year 2015. The discussions are designed to help ministries, departments, and agencies improve e-service delivery through coordination, collaboration, and planning that will result in better designed citizen focused e-services to improve all around efficiency and reduce costs for both the organization and the customers.

What will be discussed?

Summit discussions will center on issues like e-government technology selection, building service-oriented e-government architectures, developing UAE government sector IT skills and knowledge base, mobile government, content management, portals, etc. The challenges faced in the implementation of e-government projects are big; nevertheless they can be overcome, with the support of UAE leaders, who understand true benefits of e-government.
